Welcome to the website of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Kunming, China.

The Vietnamese Consulate General in Kunming, China was inaugurated on April 30, 2004 - the 29th anniversary of the liberation of the South Vietnam and reunification of the country. In keeping pace with excellent development of the relations between Vietnam and China, the Vietnamese Consulate General in Kunming has been  trying to build a bridge between the two countries as well as between Yunnan and other Western provinces of China with Vietnamese provinces.

Yunnan shares border with 4 Vietnamese provinces, namely Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lao Cai and Ha Giang. The people of Yunnan have long enjoyed friendly relations with their Vietnamese neighbours. In recent years, the relations between Vietnamese provinces and Yunnan have seen significant progress. Economic and cultural cooperation has been further deepened. More and more people from Yunnan come to Vietnam and vice versa for tourism, education and doing business. Therefore, the need for information about the other side keeps increasing in both Yunnan and Vietnam. We hope that this website will be a companion of each family, providing information on the country and people of Vietnam to Chinese friends and serving as a channel for Vietnamese people to learn more about China. We would like to welcome you to Vietnam for tourism, business, education, investment and trade.

We look forward to receiving your support and comments so that this website could be able to serve your interests better.
